At Acorn, we choose our people for their ability and enthusiasm to provide the optimum care and dedication to your child. All our staff are adequately qualified with at least NVQ3 or above and are reference and identify checked, enhanced DBS checked, employment and health history sought.

Our staff receive a comprehensive induction programme of training before or on the first day of employment with us. Their induction covers subjects such as Fire Evacuation procedures, Risk Assessments, policies & procedures, Pediatric First Aid, Basic Food Hygiene and the extensive daily routine to familiarize themselves with our standards and procedures.

We offer a wide range of training courses available within the Industry and constantly evaluate staff training and development needs.

We have Our staff ratios are - 1:4 for 2-3 year olds and 1:8 for 3-5 year olds. However, we maintain additional staff to provide high staff ratios, to support our children. We also maintain minimum two staff on duty at all times.
